Dr Liu is a registered periodontist in Australia and New Zealand. He received his specialist training from the University of Hong Kong from 2013 to 2016 and was awarded Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology. He was then admitted as a Speciality Member in Periodontics of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom.
Dr Liu served as a private practitioner and an honorary clinical assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong. His most distinguished publication was cited by the 2017 new classification scheme for periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions. Since he moved to Australia, he has practised extensively across metropolitan areas in Sydney. Now he is delighted to present his best profile in the Gum & Dental Implant Centre and serve the local community in Illawarra.
Dr Liu is an active member of various international organisations of periodontology and implant dentistry, including the European Federation of Periodontology, the Osteology Foundation for Oral Tissue Regeneration, the International Team of Implantology, and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontics.
As a Periodontist, Dr Liu values the natural teeth of his patients and he is always keen to maintain them. His clinical expertise centres on evidence-based periodontal tissue regeneration, complicated bone augmentation procedures and dental implant surgeries. He is committed to catering for the needs of his patients and providing the best treatment plans in line with their long-term interests.
He is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr Kritesh is a registered Prosthodontist in Australia and New Zealand. He received his specialist training from the University of Melbourne from 2018 to 2021 and was awarded Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics. He has worked in both public and private practices and has held teaching positions at the Fiji National University and University of Sydney. Apart from having a strong clinical background, Dr Kritesh was also a recipient of research grants from various organisations such as the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the Australian Dental Research Foundation Inc. and the Melbourne Dental School which enabled him to carry out and publish his most notable research project in the prestigious Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr Kritesh has been practicing as a Prosthodontist in the Illawarra since he completed his specialist training and is now excited to provide the best quality care to his patients by working alongside Dr Liu. He is a firm believer in teamwork and a multi-disciplinary approach, focusing on improving the oral health quality of life of individuals. As a Prosthodontist, Dr Kritesh is an expert in wholistic treatment planning and has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry, managing tooth wear, providing implant prostheses and full mouth rehabilitations.
Outside of work, Dr Kritesh enjoys travelling and playing sports, especially soccer. Since moving to the South Coast, he has picked up fishing as a hobby and is always on the lookout for new hiking spots.
